NIHR Receives the Human Rights Committee at the Shura Council
Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received at the NIHR headquarters in Seef district the Human Rights Committee of the Shura Council, headed by D. Mohamed Ali Al-Khozaee, and members of the Committee, in the presence of a number of members of the NIHR Council of Commissioners and NIHR Secretary-General.
During the meeting, Al-Derazi reviewed the NIHR work methodology and its role in the field of promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain in accordance with its Establishment Law, as well as its advisory role in submitting recommendations related to human rights to the legislative and executive authorities, pointing out the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the two sides to strengthen the human rights and labour system to protect, promote and develop it to meet common aspirations and goals.
For their part, the Chairman and members of the Human Rights Committee appreciated the NIHR's efforts and effective role in protecting and promoting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
